1. Overview
DakeTech (“we,” “us,” or “our”) uses text messaging (SMS/MMS) solely to deliver internal operational notifications to staff and other individuals who have been intentionally enrolled by an administrator. Examples include service outages, infrastructure disruptions, maintenance windows, security notices, and related operational updates.
These messages are not marketing, not advertising, and not promotional offers. They are workplace operational communications.
2. Who receives messages
SMS alerts are sent only to phone numbers that an authorized DakeTech administrator has added to our notification system. We do not purchase lists or enroll the general public.
- Recipients are typically employees, contractors, or designated on-call contacts.
- Enrollment and removal are controlled by DakeTech administrators.
- If you believe you received a message in error, contact us using the information below.
3. Information we use for SMS
To operate internal SMS notifications, we may process:
- Mobile phone number (E.164 format)
- Name or role label associated with that number by an administrator
- Message content (alert text) and delivery metadata (timestamps, delivery status)
- Technical logs needed to troubleshoot delivery (provider message IDs, error codes)
We do not require message recipients to provide sensitive health information or client legal matter details via SMS. Operational alerts should avoid including unnecessary confidential data.
4. How we use this information
- To send and deliver internal operational SMS notifications
- To maintain recipient lists managed by administrators
- To confirm delivery, troubleshoot failures, and improve reliability
- To meet carrier and 10DLC compliance requirements
5. Message frequency & costs
Message frequency varies with operational need (for example, during an outage or scheduled maintenance). Message and data rates may apply according to the recipient’s mobile carrier plan.
6. Opt-out & support
Recipients may request removal from SMS notifications by contacting their DakeTech administrator or by emailing info@daketech.net. Where carrier-standard keywords apply, you may also reply STOP to opt out and HELP for assistance, subject to carrier handling.
7. Sharing of information
We use telecommunications and messaging providers (for example, our SMS platform and mobile carriers) solely to transmit messages and process delivery. We do not sell personal information collected for SMS notifications. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our systems and personnel.
8. Data retention
Message logs and delivery records are retained as needed for operations, troubleshooting, security, and compliance, then deleted or archived according to our internal retention practices.
9. Security
We apply administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of operational communications. No method of transmission over the Internet or mobile networks is perfectly secure; we work to reduce risk through access controls and vendor selection.
10. Children’s privacy
Our SMS program is not directed to children and is intended only for adult staff and authorized operational contacts.
11. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date above will be revised when material changes are published at this URL.
